Day 2

Eric started the day off with a bang by shooting a riffle. He did very well; he had the second highest score out of the group. We then headed to the pool and relaxed at the swim up bar. While at the pool a monkey was brought around. The monkey was so friendly and cute. I asked the monkey trainer if I could pet him, he said sure. I put my hand out and the monkey jumped right on it and started kissing me! We also spent some time at the Ocean today. The water is so beautiful and clear. It was very relaxing to lay by the ocean and listen to the waves. Later in the evening we headed to the Indian restaurant. The food was great but a little spicy for my liking. After dinner we headed to the quad for music, drinks, cigars, and dancing. Eric was super excited that he could legally smoke a Cuban cigar! We are having having a wonderful time.

Snake Bites To End the Night

Eric and I are really enjoying ourselves. We have met new friends and found our way around the resort. The week has only started...we have many more drinks to drinks, more meals to eat, more people to meet, and more places to go.

Slip and Slide

Today Uncle Eric set up a slip and slide for Liam and Layla to play on. Liam caught on right away and had a blast. Layla was a bit more timid about the whole thing. Layla had fun running through the water and playing in her water sink.

Race Time

Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines! Today was Pole day at the Speedway in Indianapolis. Eric and his friend Adam hit the road at 6:00am and headed to the track. They spent the entire day at the track cheering on their favorite racers and watching Danica throw a fit. All the pictures were taken by Adam.

Packing Up

The passports are ready and the luggage is out.

Next week Eric and I are heading to Mexico for a much needed get a way. I am a super organized person so I have started packing early to make sure I don't forget anything. I try to pack efficiently but I don't always succeed. I tend to either over pack or under pack. I am trying to find a balance for this trip. My strategy for this is to try and pack just the right amount. To be more efficient I made piles and spread them out so I could see everything before I put things in the suit case. I thought this would help me remember what I have ready to go. Poor little Max is in distress over the clothes on the floor. 4 days and counting until we leave. If anyone has any packing tips feel free to share.
