Tibbs Family Photos

Last weekend Eric and I went to Indy to spend the weekend with my sister and her family. While there I had a chance to take some family photos. Liam and Layla did very well for their age. I still have a lot to learn about photography but with each and every shoot I learn something new.

Nell Bell's B-Day

Almost 4 years ago my world came crashing down on me. One of my best friends left this earth and went to her eternal home. Janell who I loving called Nell Bell or Nelly was killed in a drinking and driving accident on Nov 4th 2006. Janell had a smile that would light up the room and a laugh that was unforgettable. After Janell pasted away Tiffany, Mariah, Heather and I made a commitment to take the time to remember Janell every year on her birthday and the date of her passing. We have kept our word to each other and Janell parents. This year Tiffany and I went to Janell parents and spent a couple of hours together. After quality time with Janell's parents all of us girls went to Applebee's. We talked about the funny memories we all had with Janell. After dinner we went back to Tiffany's Mom house and looked through pictures and read old notes from high school. We laughed, we cried, we remember. July 8th will forever be pressed in my heart as will Janell's smile and laugh. Until I meet Janell again in Heaven I will continue to call upon the fond memories I hold in my heart.

Mom's Flower Bed

Do you ever stop and smell the flowers? Last Friday I took a moment to walk through my Mom's flower garden. I took a couple snap shots to embrace the moment.

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July. I feel so blessed to be born in such an amazing country. Over the last 234 years our country has come a long way. We have fought adversity head on and won. I think America will continue to grow and prosper over the years. Sometimes I take living in America for granted, but not today. I am so thankful that I live in a capitalistic country with the freedom to vote and practice my own religion. Today Eric and I celebrated our country by walking in a parade to support my brother in-law Doug. Doug is on the Sheriff's department in Indianapolis and is helping campaign for John Layton to become sheriff.

The Saga Continues

Saturday was a big day for the Sparks family. We started the day of at the Warren parade. Even though the parade is the same every year, I still love going. During the parade the kids were focused on collecting as much candy as possible. Take my word the kids have enough candy to last the rest of the year. After the parade we headed downtown for the pedal tractor pull. All 5 of the kids gave it a shot and did a great job! When the pedal tractor pull was over we headed down the block for the cornhole tournament. Eric, Dathen, Brandy, and Doug all joined in the tournament and gave it their best but they did not pull of the championship (maybe next year). After a day downtown we headed to our parents friends house at Dawn Lakes. We all had a great time and are continuing to enjoy the holiday weekend.

Poor Liam needs a boy to play with
