Party Time

Sunday evening my God Parents had a graduation cookout for me! We had cake, balloons, and gifts so it was a party! My God Parents are the only people in my life that have been there since the beginning; from my baptism to my college graduation. My biological Mother made a lot of terrible choice as a Mother, but I will forever be grateful that she chose the Bowman's to be my God Parents. They have always been there for me.

On Friday night Eric and I went to Candis and Jon's house for a cookout. During the cookout we celebrated that Jon and Candis are going to have a baby. Andrew and Brianna are very excited about Mommy having a baby. We had a great evening!

Boiler Up Purdue

After 3 schools and 6 years I finally graduated. I started my college experience at Ball State University. I truly loved Ball State but maybe a little too much at times if you get my drift. I then transferred to Ivy Tech and received my Associates degree in Human Service in 07'. Ivy Tech was a great school for me to get back on track and put my education first. After completing my Associates degree Eric and I got married so I worked full time for a year. I then returned to school to complete my bachelor's degree. I chose to go to Indiana-University Purdue-University of Fort Wayne. I continued with Human Services. I truly have a passion for helping people. Even though I may have struggled with my early years of college one thing I never struggled with is what I wanted to major in. I have known for years that I wanted to be a Social Worker. Due to my childhood, many Social Workers were always involved in my life. Social Workers truly made a difference and tried to help better my life. I hope someday I can return the kindness I was given as a child to another person.

The yellow ribbon on my cap and gown has great meaning to me. Over 3 years ago my best friend Janell lost her life in a car crash. She also attended IPFW as a nursing major. She was truly a giving, loving, wonderful friend. Janell would have graduated in Dec with her Bachelors in Nursing. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Janell. Janell loved life and loved her friends and family. I know that she was with me last night as I walked across the stage.

Pre-School Gradution

Tonight was Kinsey's big night. Kinsey had her pre-school graduation and final program. The program was very cute! Congrats to our little niece. This is only the first of many graduations for our little nieces and nephew.

Thank You Cincinnati

Blogging is more of Heidi's thing..but I thought I would give it a try. This last weekend the boys and I headed to Cincinnati for a good ole' bachelor party for our buddy Jeff. We started off the day with a little bit of bar hopping, then we headed to the Cubs vs. Reds night game. The Cubbies just couldn't pull it off. After the game we hit up a couple more bars and called it a night with pizza back at the hotel.

Max Update

This week Max was place on seizure medication. Everyday he will have to take a pill. Hopefully the medicine will lessen the amount of seizure. Max does not take medicine well we are going to hide his medicine in a hot dog.
