Lately Eric and I have spending a lot of time thinking about Piper going to daycare. I have been reading blogs about day cares and tips to help working parents. One tip was have personalized pacifiers for your child so the provider will always know which pacifier is your child's. So I found these at www.coolpacifiers.com. I think they are super cute and everyone will always know which pacifier is Piper's!

Spilling Over
How can such a tiny person have so much stuff already? I must have been naive thinking she would have a nursery and a couple things here and there. She has a room full of stuff & a closet full of clothes. So now we are resorting to using our guest bedroom closet for clothing overflow. That right clothing overflow, she has more clothes than Eric and I put together. In her defense I will say her clothes range from newborn to 3T though. Her pack & play is in our office for napping and diaper changing. Today Eric put her swing and bouncer in the living room. We have turned our sun room into her playroom. All her diapers are stacked in our guestroom. We have cleared out a cabinet in the kitchen for her feeding items. Finally her bassinet is in our room. Who knew such a little person would require so much space. We have everything put away and the house prepared so now it is just a waiting game.

Still Growing
The weeks are passing by so quickly. My health seems like a roller coaster. I am going to the Dr. 3 times a week. One day all seems well then a couple days later my blood pressure is out of control and Piper does not pass her breathing test. I am just trying to stay calm (which is extremely hard). I have no control over this situation and that is really hard for a control freak to accept. As of right now at 36 weeks little Piper is a little porker at 7.5 lbs, even though she is so big she continues to fail her breathing test. The Dr.'s are trying to find a balance when thinking of her delivery date. They don't want her to get to big but we need to wait until her lungs are more developed. Babies of mothers with gestational diabetes lungs develop at a much slower rate. It is all just a waiting game. It will all happen in Piper's time. I continue to pray for my little ones health and safe delivery. Only a couple more weeks and we will be able to hold our sweet little baby.

Piper JoEllen's Room
I am pleased to say Piper's room is totally complete. I planned every detail and my vision came together. The details are what make this room special to me. Now all I need is my little to girl to complete my dream nursery.
Enjoy the Tour and Details
Her Door Cross
Light Cover
Her Over the Door Cross
Her Princess Chandillier
Piper "All Spelled Out"
Crib "No bedding for little Miss Piper, from everything I have read the only thing that is safe to have in your babies crib is a sheet" Last year 665 babies suffocated in their own crib from blankets, stuffed animals, and bumper pads. Piper will wear a sleep sack to bed to keep her warm and cozy.
Dresser / Changing Table
Storage Cube
Rocking Chair "I am sure we will spend many hours right here"
I love elephants and I hope she always Dreams Big!
Baby Monitor & Picture Board
My view of the room the from the portable monitor. I can move the camera from my portable monitor and see the whole room. I can also talk into the monitor. I am sure this will come in handy when she is 3 and does not want to stay in bed.
Her jam packed closet.
I took this idea from my best friend Kristi. I wanted a way to organize all her shoes, accessories, and headbands. The clear pockets will allow me to see everything and not forget she has certain items.
Her drawers are all organized and ready to go...now all we need is a little Piper!

Maternity Photos
Last week my friend and our neighbor Gill took a couple picture to capture this moment in our lives, this moment of excitement, nervousness, and mostly thankfulness. I think she captured such sweet moments of me carrying our daughter and Eric and I loving each other. If you want to see more of her work check her out on facebook.

We are anxiously waiting for Piper's arrival. We are not sure when she will make her debut but Dr. Mills thinks it will be within the next 2 no more than 3 weeks. I am 35 weeks now and Dr. Mills would like for me to make it 39 weeks. Everything will be dependent on my blood pressure, protein levels, sugar levels and most importantly Pipers health.
