Homeward Bound Walk

Today the Homeward Bound Walk was held in Fort Wayne at Headwaters Park. The Homeward Bound walk was designed to raise money and awareness for the agencies in Fort Wayne that help the homeless population in our community. Even though the weather was less than desirable many people showed up with rain coats and smiles. The festivities started at noon with food, entertainment, and great speakers. At two we headed out for a 5K walk. The walk was great even though it sprinkled. I am so proud to be an intern at the Hope House. Today many supporters came out for the cause and walked with Hope House to help fight homelessness in our community.

Happy 3rd Birthday

My puppy is 3. Max is 3 years old. I can't believe it, Max has been apart of our lives for 3 years now. Max has added a lot of joy to our lives. Eric would like to add that other than joy, Max has also added a dent in his wallet. Max may be 3 years old but he will always be my baby. Happy Birthday my little Maxy!

The Celebrations Begin

Tonight was the ceremony for Omicron Psi National Honor Society. 86 students including me were inducted into the 2010 National Honor Society Program at IPFW. We had our cord and pinning ceremony tonight and had time to reflect on our college experience and all our hard work.

Easter Cantata

This last Sunday we had our Easter Cantata. During the celebration the children preformed a musical number. In the lower right hand is Makayla. Makayla is my friend Jenny's foster daughter. Jenny is such a great foster parent. Jenny is truly a gift from God. She has fostered around 10 kids. I have met each and everyone of them and watched them transform. Jenny has made such a difference in so many kids lives. May God bless her and help her continue to help children in need.

New Camera

I have always had an interest in photography. This last year I decided to take more time for my hobby. Last year I found part time employment at Fredrick's Photography in Huntington. This last year as my photography skills developed I felt I was out growing my small digital Kodak camera, so I decided to invest in more advanced camera. After lots of research I decided on a Nikon D5000. I am so excited to learn more about photography and develop my photography skills more.

Strobel Easter

This weekend Eric and I celebrated Easter in Indianapolis with both our families. We had a very busy weekend. We started the weekend off on Maunday Thursday with church in Indianapolis. On Friday I had a super busy day. I started the day grocery shopping with Nancy for Easter Dinner. I then headed to my sister Brandy's and went grocery shopping with her for our family Easter celebration. Later that evening Eric and I went to Good Friday service and Layla stayed the night with us. Saturday we had the Sparks Easter celebration and then watched the Butler Game. On Sunday we started the day off with the sunrise service at church then back home to start cooking for the Strobel Easter celebration. Even though our weekend was jam packed with church and family we would not have had it any other way! Christ has Risen...Alleluia!
I was so busy at the Strobel Easter celebration these are the only 2 pics I snapped!

Easter Fun

Easter is such a special time of year for us. Easter season is about the sacrifice Jesus made for you and I. During the Easter season Eric and I reflect on the debts Jesus paid for us and the unconditional love he has for us. Even though I try to keep the focus on Jesus, I also enjoy all the other fun traditions that are associated with Easter.
