K&A

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of watching Kinsey and Addison.  Kinsey had the whole day planned out.  We played Wii, barbies, & played outside.  I treasure days when I can spend time with my nieces or nephews by myself (Selfish I know).  I like to have individual time to listen to them and play with them.  On Saturday Kinsey showed me many of the words and numbers she is learning at school and Addison impressed me with her language expansion over the last few months.  The girls were so excited to be at my house we they ran up and down stairs for several hours! The kids won't be little for long so I really try to embrace each moment I have with them, someday they will grow up and coming to my house will not be as exciting!

Benjamin James

On April 7th 2011 at 4:24 p.m. in Hancock Michigan Ron and Mary welcomed Benjamin James Strobel!  He weighted in at 9 pounds and 11 ounces and was 19 inches long!  Eric and I are so excited to have another nephew! Benjamin brings the count to 6! We now have 4 nieces (Alivia 7, Kinsey 5, Layla 3, & Addison 2) and 2 nephews (Liam 4 & now Benjamin) !

Spring Has Sprung

The signs are all pointing that Spring has finally arrived!  The grass is green, the neighborhood kids are playing outside, and the daffodil's are blooming. We were surprised to find that we have many daffodil's in our yard.  Hopefully now that it is warming up outside we will have the chance to meet a couple of our neighbors.

Luncheon

Friday afternoon my Aunt Jean, Cousin Allison and her boys Lucas & Micah came over to catch up and have a bite to eat. We had great conversation and Allison gave me lots of decorating tips for the house! Lucas made artwork for my fridge and Micah loved crawling up the stairs every chance he got. I love hosting party’s especially little ones because you can pay more attention to detail. My friend Kelly always makes this easy fresh tomato recipe when Eric and I go to their house. It literally is as simple as 1, 2, 3! Slice a fresh tomato, sprinkle balsamic vinegar, Italian seasoning, and basil feta cheese! They are super yummy and easy to make.
Aunt Jean is the photographer for this picture! Good thing Lucas brought his umbrella to keep up dry!

A Work in Progress

After over two months of sitting on camping chairs our furniture is finally here.  I could not be more excited!  Now it is time to think about the finishing touches...curtains, pictures, and more! Decorating a house can be fun but over whelming at the same time.
